I started my journey in the media industry on 2013 when I had decided to take media A-level and absolutely fell in love with cinematography. It was during the two years of this course that I decided that this was the path I wanted to take in life. I am very dedicated to subject and I worked as hard as I could to ensure a place at Bath Spa University. My first year I studied Introduction to Television Production. During this module I learnt the basics of a sitcom and a chat show. Whilst doing this I worked on the sitcom 'Sacre bleu!' and 'The Morning After Chat Show' On both of these projects I worked as sound assistant in the studio. I was in charge of setting up lapel mics and adjusting them when needed.
During this year I also studied documentary making, which I found extremely interesting and when asked to create our own, I took charge of the project as director. The documentary was called 'What Drives Passion?' Working as director on this project was a massive learning curve for me and had was a very good starting point to develop my directing skills. After this I continued my studies at UCW (University Centre of Weston) where I carried on developing my film making skills. I was picked to be a co-producer on the class project, 'Killo and Freya' . After working on the producing side, I felt it necessary to also develop my directing skill. Because of this, I decided to take an idea that I had come up with a few months prior into pre-production. I very much enjoyed working on the creative side and working as director on set even more so.
